Cody Felmingham brings a rich and diverse background in business and hands-on trades to his role at Figureworks Australia. Growing up in a home deeply rooted in business and finance, Cody’s entrepreneurial spirit emerged early. At just eight years old, he started his first business washing cars in his neighborhood, and before long, he was selling key chains and lanyards at school. His love for providing services and products, combined with his passion for math, nurtured by his mother Ruth, shaped his interest in both business and problem-solving.
Cody began his professional career as a tradesman, completing an apprenticeship as an electrician. Never one to shy away from hard work, Cody balanced his full-time job with additional side jobs and short courses, constantly expanding his skill set. After eight years of working post-high school, Cody set off to gain life experience abroad, living in Canada and working in various fields to broaden his expertise.
Upon returning to Australia, Cody channeled his passion for the outdoors and hands-on creativity into starting his own landscaping business, which grew to include garden maintenance services. In addition, Cody co-founded a yoga studio in Melbourne with his mother Ruth, combining their shared passion for yoga and creating systems to efficiently manage both businesses. His ability to build and lead teams led to the continued success of these ventures, even after he transitioned out of them to start a family.
Following his sister Chloe’s footsteps, Cody joined Figureworks at Ruth’s invitation, bringing his love for math, problem-solving, and organizational skills to the bookkeeping world. His vast experience in business and his talent for developing efficient systems have made him an invaluable member of the Figureworks team. Cody is also committed to furthering his knowledge and is pursuing an Advanced Diploma in Accounting to ensure he continues delivering exceptional service to Figureworks’ clients.
Outside of work, Cody enjoys spending quality time with his twin daughters, Juniper and Yuzu, his partner Khalla, and their dog Henry. Whether they are hiking in the forest, swimming in the creek, or exploring the ocean, Cody’s love for nature is ever-present. He also enjoys gardening, woodworking, and mountain biking, always keeping busy with new projects and outdoor adventures.
